Day 23

Jodie loves Wilma.

That's love all over her face, promise.

We didn't mean to introduce them so early, but Jodie loved Wilma from the first time she saw her through the security gate, and started crying whenever Wilma wandered out of eyesight.

Now they're inseparable. Jodie is very anxious about being left alone, but she takes a lot of comfort in Wilma. Their friendship makes me really, really happy.

  1. My sister sent me this blog and told me I HAD to read it. I cried when I saw these pictures. You are an amazing person for taking on something that could have been a very difficult situation.

  3. Yes, it's love! We have two chihuahuas, and when they play-fight, the smaller dog always has that look on her face. She always finishes the play by licking the other chi, who usually gets so excitedly happy during the activity that he does these high pitched barks!

It's great that Jodie has Wilma for company. I'm so glad she is healing well.

  4. Hi!

I just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I respect what you have done/are doing for Jodie. I first saw her photo when she was being networked for rescue on Facebook, and have been following her story ever since. For some reason she really tugged at my heart strings, and it makes me so happy to see her looking so happy and so loved. Bless you for doing such a good thing. :)

  6. Ridiculous, let's return her for a difficult pup.

Though really, she looks terribly evil when happy.

P.s. you're totally dog famous, this proves that good hearts are entertaining.

  7. That second picture just makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it. Wilma just has that look, like she's been caught doing something she shouldn't, and Jodie's laughing her butt off! How wonderful that they get along so well. Heartwarming.
